Sheryl Sandberg
Sheryl Sandberg Chief Operating Officer, Facebook Sheryl Sandberg is Chief Operating Officer at Facebook, overseeing the firm's business operations. She also serves on Facebook’s board of directors. Prior to Facebook, Sheryl was vice president of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, chief of staff for the United States Treasury Department under President Clinton, a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and an economist with the World Bank. Sheryl received a BA summa cum laude from Harvard University and an MBA with the highest distinction from Harvard Business School. Sheryl is the co-author of Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy with Wharton professor and bestselling author Adam Grant. She is also the author of the bestsellers Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead and Lean In for Graduates. She is the founder of the Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to build a more equal and resilient world through two key initiatives, LeanIn.Org and OptionB.Org. Sheryl serves on the boards of Facebook, Women for Women International, ONE, and SurveyMonkey. Sheryl lives in Menlo Park with her fiancé and their five children.
Beth Ann Lim
Beth Ann Lim Director of Policy Programs and Government Outreach for APAC, and Head of SheMeansBusiness, Facebook Beth Ann Lim is the Director of Policy Programs and Government Outreach for the Asia Pacific at Facebook and Global Head of SheMeansBusiness. Prior to this role, she was responsible for Facebook’s Small and Medium Businesses Community Engagement initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. Lim has over 18 years of experience in Asia working with small and large organizations to help develop and build strategies focused on digital transformation, economic development, and digital literacy. She is passionate about helping small and medium businesses succeed and is an active mentor in the start-up and accelerator community. Lim holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in East Asian Languages and speaks Mandarin.
Anne Githuku-Shongwe
Anne Githuku-Shongwe Representative, UN Women South Africa Multi-Country Office Anne Githuku-Shongwe is the Representative for UN Women's South Africa Multi-Country Office (SAMCO), which is responsible for women's empowerment and gender equality in Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, and Namibia as well as South Africa. Anne brings to her role 20 years of experience as a senior international development professional including with the United Nations Development Programme across Africa and Management consulting in the US. She has been an award-winning social entrepreneur and founder of Afroes, a Digital & Gamification Learning enterprise, and a thought leader on the Future of Learning.  Anne and Afroes received multiple awards including the prestigious Schwab Foundation/World Economic Forum Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Award.  She is an Author contributor in several books including the 2021 The Write to Speak: A collection of stories by African Women Leaders. Anne is also a Board Member and Grand Juror of the World Summit Awards for the UN Information Society and a former Global Ambassador of the Vital Voices Leadership Program. She has a Masters’ degree in International Development from The American University; as well as a certificate in Social Innovation from the University of Cape Town, Graduate School of Business, and a certificate in The Art of Large Scale Systems Change for Social Entrepreneurship from Harvard University.
Sherry Dzinoreva
Sherry Dzinoreva Director of Policy Programs for AMET, Facebook Sherry Dzinoreva serves as Director of Policy Programs, Africa, Middle East, and Turkey for Facebook where she oversees program development across the region. Over the years, she has worked in various facets of the digital industry, with a primary focus on skills development and education. Before joining Facebook she served as Program Director for Digify Africa, a program that saw over 70,000 young people trained in digital skills across Sub-Saharan Africa. She was also the co-founder of the first Social Media Week in Johannesburg, offering free and accessible workshops on digital innovation to a mix of audiences across the city. Prior to transitioning into the tech space, Dzinoreva spent 12 years working in the media industry heading communications and marketing for such organizations as Complex Media, TRACE magazine, and Black Girls Rock!. In 2010, she left the industry to obtain a Master's degree in International Media Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dzinoreva is driven by her passion for building innovative programs and experiences designed to bridge cultural and opportunity gaps around the world with a focus on technology and digital education to empower, connect and build the next generation of leaders.
